Staff and Students of UNNC Receive Vaccine on Campus
20 April, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) organized the first round of Covid-19 vaccination for students, staff and staff families on campus. So far, approximately 4000 students and staff members have been successfully vaccinated with no cases of severe adverse reaction reported.
Peter Morgan, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business, who had just been vaccinated, also expressed gratitude to the volunteers. “I am impressed by the efficiency of the vaccination process in China. Surprisingly, the staff set up a team of volunteers to help non-Chinese speaking staff, organized a clear physical flow for people, and prepared a room for recuperation. It was all very good,” said Dr Morgan.
Zimeng Zhang, leader of the volunteer team, said that the team grew rapidly as more and more students proactively joined the efforts. Now there are about 70 students in the team to support the vaccination.
The vaccination was popular among students and staff who hope to construct barrier defenses through getting the Chinese vaccine.
