A drone-shot cityscape video titled “This is Ningbo” has recently become a viral sensation on social media platforms. The photographer behind the lens is 19-year-old Zhou Yuquan hailing from Fenghua Vocational Education Center, Ningbo. Zhou currently stands out as an accomplished aerial photographer, earning a monthly income in the tens of thousands, even before graduation.

既是职高在校生，又是航拍摄影师，还未毕业月收入上万。这个戴着眼镜，稍显腼腆的19岁大男孩是奉化职教中心21机电3班的周昱全同学。近日，他历时一年用无人机拍摄的宁波宣传片《这里是宁波》受到广泛关注。

His latest viral work “This is Ningbo” captures the Old Bund, the Eastern New Town, Xuedou Mountain as well as many other iconic landmarks and famous attractions in Ningbo. With smooth images, grand panoramas, and brilliant colors, the work showcases the majesty and prosperity of Ningbo city. “I want more people to appreciate the beauty of Ningbo,” said Zhou.

让周昱全广受关注的航拍作品《这里是宁波》，以流畅的画面、宏伟的视角、绚烂的色彩，展示了宁波老外滩、东部新城和奉化雪窦山等地标建筑和知名景点，展示了宁波城市的磅礴气势和繁荣景象。“我想让更多人领略到宁波的美。”周昱全说。

Over a span of twelve months, this young teenager meticulously curated the 131-second video from a staggering 5TB of aerial footage and dedicated over 100 hours to mere color correction and editing.

这部时长2分11秒的宣传片，是周昱全历时一年，从5TB的航拍素材中筛选出来的，光是调色、剪辑就用了100多个小时。

“Each second of footage would cost me roughly an hour.” To capture the enchanting moments in the city center – including the dusk, the dawn, the dynamic flow of traffic, and the vibrant city lights – Zhou undertook photographic journeys nearly every weekend and holiday. Laden with heavy camera equipment, he navigated through the urban landscape, shifting seamlessly between shared bikes, metros, and buses — a testament to the fact that photography is not merely a technical endeavor but a profound toughening act of willpower.

“平均每一秒画面，拍摄用时大概一小时。”为了拍摄东部新城的晚霞、三江口的落日、高架路上华灯初上的车水马龙，周昱全每到周末、节假日就要背上沉重的摄像器材，穿梭在这座城市。从共享单车换乘地铁，再从地铁换乘公交，这不光是对技术的考验，也是对意志的磨炼。

Prior to this, Zhou had already gained recognition in the local photography community. He was among the first in Fenghua District to obtain the “Civil Remote Pilot Licence” and was invited as a special guest pilot for the 2023 Cross-Strait Peach Blossom Marathon. Currently, his aerial photography services are billed per second.

此前，周昱全已在奉化的摄影圈小有名气。他是奉化首批取得《民用无人驾驶航空器操作员执照》的飞手，还在2023年受邀成为海峡两岸桃花马拉松特邀飞手。现在，他的航拍作品，是按秒收费的。

In the third year of junior high, Zhou was captivated by some aerial productions while browsing the Internet. Intrigued by the thrilling sensation of “flying in the sky” and supported by his family, he purchased his first drone. “Initially, it was just for casual enjoyment. When I enrolled in Fenghua Vocational Education Center, however, our head teacher, Mr. Deng, discovered my interest and encouraged me, ‘If you love it, dedicate yourself to it and leave a mark!’”

初三那年，周昱全刷短视频，无意中被一些航拍作品吸引。他一下子就喜欢了这种“在天上飞”的感觉。在家人的支持下，他买下了自己的第一台无人机。“刚开始就是随便玩玩，飞一飞，到了奉化职教中心之后，班主任邓老师知道我有这个兴趣，就跟我讲‘要玩咱就玩出个名堂！’”

To be better equipped for his own aerial productions, Zhou joined the school’s photography society where he honed his skills in drone technology, video post-processing, composition, and framing. Within half a year of training, he grew to become a proficient photographer. Soon, he was offered a deal with a film and television company, and the completion of that order earned his first part-time income through aerial photography. Since then, Zhou has been inundated by offers of collaboration with numerous media companies, embarking on his journey to large-scale promotional video filming. Later, he was recommended to “NBP”— the local photography club where he refined his skills under the guidance of experienced predecessors.

之后，周昱全加入学校的摄影社，学习无人机技术、视频后期处理、构图、取景，半年之后就“出师”了。很快，一家影视公司找到他，让他完成一个全景项目的拍摄，他通过航拍赚到了第一笔钱。紧接着，不少传媒公司找上门来寻求合作，周昱全开始拍摄大型宣传片。后来他还被推荐到宁波风光小组nbp，到了更大的平台，跟着老前辈磨炼技术。

Last year witnessed a booming period for Zhou as he embraced the best of both worlds, experiencing a surge in orders for his individual studio work and receiving honors both within and beyond campus. He garnered recognition from “Beautiful Zhejiang”, an official account of Zhejiang Province and twice earned the title of “Outstanding Vocational School Student” in Fenghua District, clinching first position in the municipal skills competition.

去年是周昱全航拍事业的“爆发年”。他的个人工作室订单爆满；他的航拍作品被美丽浙江选用。他还两次获得奉化区优秀职校生、在宁波技能比赛获第一名。

“This year, I will participate in the higher vocational education entrance examination to get further education related to drones. Upon graduation, I plan to keep operating my studio and develop it into a media company,” revealed Zhou.

“今年，我要参加高职高考上大学，学一个和无人机相关的专业，毕业之后继续做我的航拍工作室，做传媒公司。”周昱全说。

“If students from vocational schools can master a specific professional skill, they too can grow into top-notch talents,” emphasized Deng Yaohao, Zhou’s class head teacher at Fenghua Vocational Education Center. He encouraged more parents and educators to recognize the unique talents in children beyond academic achievements. He also believes that young individuals who leverage their advantages will have the opportunity to shine with increased support and guidance.

“如果职业学校的孩子能掌握一项专业技能，一样能成为一流的人才。”奉化区职教中心老师邓耀豪建议更多的家长和教育者，能看到除成绩以外的潜藏在孩子身上的能力，结合每个孩子的特点，助推他们登上舞台，让每个孩子都有人生出彩的机会。
