    The Spring Festival

    February 1st is the first day of the first lunar month, which is also the traditional Chinese Spring Festival. This year, our family went to Ninghai, our home town, to celebrate the Spring Festival. This is a happy Spring Festival. Every family hung lanterns and pasted window paper cuts. I put on the new clothes that my mother bought for me. We had a big New Year’s Eve dinner. Later, we sat on the sofa and were going to watch the wonderful Spring Festival Gala. In the Spring Festival Gala, there are thousands of people from all around China. But at eleven o'clock, I couldn't help taking a nap. When it was almost twelve o'clock, grandma and I woke up. We ate dumplings and welcomed the new year together.

    “The new year’s bell will ring soon! The new year is coming! Yeah! Happy New Year! ” we said.

    When the New Year's show was over, our whole family went out to set off fireworks. The fireworks are so colourful.

    It also means a perfect year.

    We go to my aunt's home and have New Year’s Eve dinner. Let’s have a look and what’s food on the table.

    Wow! There are many plates. On one plate, there is hairy crab, and on another plate, there is steamed crab. My favorite food—beef, is on the table too. It looks very yummy. There is a lot of yummy food on the table.

    We watched the Spring Festival Gala in the evening. Many people sing and dance and perform a skit at the Spring Festival Gala. At last, we play fireworks at night.

    It's a happy new year.

    Winter Olympics

    We are all very excited to look forward to the opening of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

    The athletes are very nervous, but they still stick to the game.

    The coaches are very tired, but they still insist on training.

    The weather is very cold, but the audiences are still concentrating on the games.

    The Lantern Festival

    After the Spring Festival, here comes the Lantern Festival. Most people need to get back to work with their best wishes in the new year. I find they celebrate this festival with food and fun.

    Mr White is very busy, but he still has dinner with his family. Ms Black is very tired, but she still makes dumpings. Miss Brown is very sleepy, but she still guesses riddles. How funny and happy they are!

    The Third Gold Medal

    Today is the fourth day of the Winter Olympics. We have a Freestyle Ski Jump match.

    In the first and second games, Gu Ailing was very disappointed, but she is still fighting. She is tired out. Now, she is in third place. She wants to win. She wants to win honour for the country. It looks impossible.

    Very soon, the third game begins. Gu Ailing skis on the snow, she flips in the air, then lands, she rushes into the first place!

    She is very proud of it!

    Robot Roboten

    Roboten is a humanoid intelligent robot. It was made by my friend. It looks like a person and has wisdom. It can do many things. He can dive at a depth. It can fly at a speed of 300 kilometers at an altitude of 1000 meters high. At a dangerous moment, it can fight with bad guys, because it is equipped with a knife and gun and it also knows kung fu....

    It can sing and dance very beautifully. It is also a transformer. It can transform into a car, a ship, a plane, a hot air balloon...... It's so cool!

    It can read for people. When it is working in educational robot mode, Roboten is a strict teacher. It will require me to finish my homework faster.

    Design Clothes

    Look! This is a dress. It was designed by me, Tina. It’s a suspender skirt. It can only be worn in summer. So, it also has a fashion element. It’s silver. It has a bag, a hat, a pair of shoes and a beautiful bowknot. You can wear it when shopping, at a picnic or at a ceremony. But I recommend walking on the beach is the best way to water it. It’s very pretty and elegant. I think a lot of people will like it. It’s expensive too. It’s 5000RMB. Do you want to buy one?

    Interesting Picnic

    It was a sunny day. It was a good time for a picnic. Mum and Ricard want to have a picnic in the park. They had juice, bread and so on. Mum took a hat to picnic too. They drove to the park. They sang songs on the way. It was lunch time. The sunshine was warm. They had a great picnic on the grass. The food was delicious. They had a great time. There was a hungry cow walking near them. Richard and Mum were playing football together. They were happy. The cow took Mum’s hat and ate it. Mum was angry, but Richard felt happy. What an interesting picnic!

    My Favorite Book

    My favorite book is Harry Potter. It is about a boy called Harry Potter. It's very funny. Sometimes, it makes me laugh. Sometimes, it makes me cry.

    Luna Lovegood is my favorite person in this book. She has another name, "Loony Love good". She is Harry's friend. She is helpful. When Harry is in big trouble, Luna is the person who goes with Harry. But they aren't in one house. They are also good friends. One time, Harry goes to a party with Luna.

    I like Giny too. She is kind. She is Harry's friend too. She also helps Harry.

    Mary likes to go to the store. She likes going shop. It’s the Spring Festival now. She goes shopping with family members for the Spring Festival.

    She goes to the market with her grandpa. She buys some meat, fish and vegetables for the New Year Eve dinner.

    She goes to the supermarket with her grandma. She buys some red paper and a writing brush to write the Chinese character “Fu”.

    She likes sports. So she goes to the shopping arcade and buys herself a pair of running shoes.

    Yesterday was the thirtieth of January. It's Chinese New Year's Eve. My mother, my cousin, sister Alice and I were going to the shop. Alice wanted to buy a new dress for the New Year holiday. We decided to go to a big clothes shop. There were many beautiful clothes.

    Alice looked around and said:"I like three dresses but I don't know which dress is great on me."

    "Why not try them on?"the salesman said.

    It was a really good idea!

    "This pink dress is lovely but it's too small." Alice said.

    "What about this yellow one?"

    "I am afraid this yellow one is too small for me as well. It looks smaller than the pink one. Can you show me that blue one? But it must be my size." Alice was a little sad.

    The salesman said that the blue dress was the largest in the shop. There was no choice, and Alice tried it on and was surprised that it was perfect.
