    With the Winter Olympics coming to an end, technical officials and volunteers from Ningbo like Fan Ning, Chen Tianhong, Wang Songtao have done an impressive job serving the Games. Winter sports have now become popular throughout the nation and over the past ten years, Ningbo’s winter sports participation has blossomed and shown real promise.

    北京冬奥会落下帷幕，范宁、陈天宏、王松涛等宁波冬奥技术官员以及甬籍大学生冬奥会志愿者圆满完成工作任务。冬奥会带动了全国的冰雪运动热，宁波亦然。回顾宁波冰雪运动这十年，特色明显，呈蓬勃发展态势。

    宁波技术官员大多是“转项”

    Wang Songtao – a former cross-country skier who competed in Cross-Country Skiing at the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics – is the only Ningbo technical official who served in their own event, while Fan Ning – the Biathlon national technical officer – used to be a boxer.

    参与北京冬奥会服务工作的宁波冬奥技术官员中，只有王松涛曾经是越野滑雪运动员，参加过2006年意大利都灵冬奥会越野滑雪比赛。而担任冬季两项项目国内技术官员的范宁，曾经是拳击运动员。

    Chen Tianhong, a bobsleigh tester, was responsible for the men’s skeleton during the Winter Olympics. While the national bobsleigh team narrowly failed to qualify for the Olympics, Chen played a vital role in their preparations.

    陈天宏作为雪车试滑员参与男子钢架雪车项目的服务工作。近几年时间里，他都是国家雪车队备战冬奥会的重要一员，遗憾的是在争夺北京冬奥会参赛资格的过程中，他最终未能获得足够积分。

    Lin Huiyang was among the first batch of national athletes in the skeleton in 2015. He did not qualify for the Olympics as he was unsuccessful in the national team competition.

    宁波选手林回央在2015年被选拔为钢架雪车项目第一批国家队队员。也是在冬奥会前的国家队队内测试赛中未能胜出，遗憾地与冬奥会赛场擦肩而过。

    In fact, it is common for athletes to switch their competition events. According to the official website of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, at least 204 of 2894 athletes switched their events at least once.

    事实上，“转项”是冬奥会赛场里的常见现象。根据北京冬奥会官网上的运动员资料统计，本届冬奥会2894名运动员中，至少有204名“转专业”选手。

    我市有两支省市联办的队伍

    In February 2012, Ningbo Women's Curling Team participated in the 12th National Winter Games. The team was jointly organized by the Ningbo Sports Bureau and Heilongjiang Ice Sports Center after formally signing an agreement on December 25th, 2010.

    2012年2月，宁波女子冰壶队参加了第十二届全国冬季运动会。此前，宁波市体育局与黑龙江省冰上运动中心于2010年12月25日正式签订协议，合作组建了宁波女子冰壶队。

    In June 2016, Sport Bureau of Zhejiang Province and Ningbo Sports Bureau signed an agreement to jointly organize and manage men's curling and other snow sports. Among them, men's curling and snowboarding were to be organized and managed by the Ningbo Sports Training Team. By the end of 2017, Zhejiang’s snowboard team – jointly organized at the provincial and municipal level – was managed by the Ningbo Sports Training Team.

    2016年6月，浙江省体育局和宁波市体育局签订男子冰壶项目和部分雪上项目“省队市办”协议，其中男子冰壶、单板滑雪两个项目在宁波体工队开展。2017年底，由省市联办的浙江单板滑雪队组队，并落户宁波体工队。

    The sports department of Ningbo municipal government currently cooperates with the Sport Bureau of Zhejiang Province to further adjust the plans for sports teams, promoting the development of winter sports.

    如今，我市体育部门正与省体育局积极沟通，进一步调整规划冰雪项目队伍布局，推动冰雪运动新发展。

    Easy access to winter sports

    市民体验冰雪运动“不再遥远” 

    More winter sports arenas in Ningbo are open to people of all ages during the Winter Olympics.

    宁波市民的家门口出现了真雪、真冰场地。在这个“奥运之冬”，我市各个冰雪运动场地全都人气满满。

    Shanglianggang Ski Resort in Fenghua District, Ningbo is one of the first winter sports destinations. Since its inception in 2007, the number of people who come to experience winter sports has increased year by year. During the spring festival this year, about 40,000 people enjoyed skiing there.

    奉化商量岗滑雪场是我市最早的冰雪运动场之一，2007年建成至今，前往体验的市民逐年递增。今年春节期间，就有约4万人来此体验滑雪运动。

    Ningbo Century Star Ice Skating Stadium at Liansheng Plaza, opened in 2010, was the first ice skating stadium in Ningbo. Although it shut down three years later, the people’s passion for winter sports was triggered.

    宁波出现真冰运动场是在2010年，当时宁波世纪星滑冰场在鄞州区联盛商业广场开业，虽然3年之后因诸多因素悄然退出，但为宁波培养了一大批滑冰爱好者。

    Champion Rink (Universal Intime City), the only standard ice hockey rink in Ningbo, was established in 2016.

    2016年，又一家真冰运动场——冠军冰场出现在环球银泰城，这也是目前我市唯一的标准冰球场。

    It is noted that last year, the sports department of Ningbo municipal government decided to set up ice hockey and figure skating teams to compete in 17th Games of Zhejiang Province, with the training base at Champion Rink (Universal Intime City).

    据悉，我市体育部门去年还确定以冠军冰场为基地，组建了备战第十七届省运会冰球、花样滑冰项目的宁波市队。
